Message from the Chief:

Welcome to our web site.
Macdonald Fire Department is proud to serve the R.M. of Macdonald. We have a population of over 5,650 and cover approximately 1,106 square kilometers in area. Within our boundaries are the communities of Brunkild, Domain, LaSalle, Oak Bluff, Osborne, Starbuck and Sanford. Our Fire Department is comprised of one station centrally located in Sanford, and strives to maintain a complement of 22 firefighters.
We are part of the Boyne River Mutual Aid District which includes 12 other Fire Departments located in the Red River Valley.
The R.M of Macdonald is continuously growing. As the community grows, our priority is to continue upgrading and providing quality fire protection and prevention to our citizens. We train on the first and third Tuesday night of every month and on occasion we will do a weekend seminar or scenario.
